How to Use MCT Oil

MCT Oil is a supplemental oil that acts as a substitute for some of the usual oil in your meals.  It should not be used to replace all of your fat intake.

Directions for use: Start with a 1/2 teaspoon and work your way up to a full serving over two weeks. Too much XCT, especially if consumed on an empty stomach, may result in diarrhoea or a stomachache. People not used to high intakes of fat are more susceptible. A betaine-hcl supplement may help adapt to the new way of eating. 3 tablespoons per day is recommended limit for Bulletproof practitioners.

The best way to maximise energy is to use MCT Oil in your Bulletproof Coffee.  Mix your MCT oil with grass-fed butter (or ghee) and combine it with Bulletproof Coffee to gain hours of energy and lose inches off your waistline!  It may also be used in smoothies, salad dressings, and many recipes.

What's the difference to Brain Octane Oil?

• Brain Octane contains only C-8 carbon medium-chain triglycerides (MCT) from coconuts. This particular MCT is designed for optimal cognitive function and we've had feedback that it's great for focus and productivity while studying / working.
• MCT Oil contains both C-8 and C-10 length chains. C-10 is more closely associated with metabolic functions ­ ie. it is better suited for weight loss and a physical energy boost.

Salicylates Statement

MCT Oil and Brain Octane go through multiple purification steps—more than any other MCT oil on the market. After these purification steps, MCTs are the only molecules/substance in the oil that are detectable by known analytical methods.  MCTs naturally increase nutrient absorption through the gut wall, so for individuals with allergies, this may increase the absorption of allergens, although it’s very rare because most allergen molecules are far too large for the MCT to assist in their absorption.
