This collagen protein is sourced from the highest quality beef collagen protein powder supplier to the most established brands: Hides of grass fed cattle from Brazil & Argentina. Packaged in Sydney, Australia in a GMP certified facility.
Grass-Fed & Pasture-Raised, Kosher, Paleo-Friendly, Keto-Certified. Hydrolysed Collagen is the unique combination of amino acids in concentrated levels that promotes rapid re-production of blood cells for healing and conditioning over other proteins especially for bone and joint health care. This low molecular weight protein is easily digested for healthy enrichment in minutes after ingestion. It will not congeal because it has been hydrolysed for quick assimilation and improved hydration to the connective tissue. Collagen is important to nitrogen balance. It supports age related cartilage damage, and collagen loss. Hydrolysate is either heated to a high temperature or enzymatically treated to reduce the "Molecular weight" which limits its ability to congeal. Hydrolysate is measured less than 5000 Dalton (mw) which makes it readily dissolvable in both cold and warm liquids.
This collagen is rich in Glycine (23%) , Proline (13.7%), Hydroxyproline (12.3%) , Glutamic acid (10%), Alanine (8.4%) and Arginine (7.7%)
Collagen can be obtained through foods like bone-broths, organ meats, crustaceans and fish stews. These foods tend to be time consuming to prepare, hard to find or not appealing to our palates.
Suggested Use: Take 1-2 tablespoons (12 to 24g) to create a filling and delicious smoothie, hot chocolate, turmeric latte or Bulletproof Coffee. Enjoy Primal Collective™ Collagen as part of a daily routine that includes Turmeric+, Omega 3s and Ghee.
What is Collagen?
In latin means to produce glue. It is a rigid and stretch-resistant matrix of protein molecules made up of amino acids that provide structural support to the skin, tendons, bones and ligaments.
Collagen can be further divided into several groups depending on the type of structures they form. There are 28 various types of collagen that have been discovered, but by far, the most common are types I through IV, with type I comprising over 90% of collagen in the human body.- Biochemistry, Collagen Synthesis (https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/books/NBK507709/)
Collagen Hydrolysate vs Gelatine:
Collagen is enzymatically processed several times to leave its peptides intact, resulting in a neutral tasting, highly available protein that doesn’t clump up or have a strong taste like gelatine.
How is your collagen supplement made?
Collagen as a supplement is sourced from the hides of cows or pigs. Nowadays, it is also being sourced from processed fish. However, our collagen is sourced only from the hides of grass fed beef cattle.
Here are some recipes using collagen.
RESEARCH:
A 24-Week study on the use of collagen hydrolysate as a dietary supplement showed improvement of joint pain in athletes.

A study published in Complementary Therapies in Medicine favourably evaluated the efficacy and safety of a food supplement made of collagen hydrolysate 1200 mg/day versus placebo during 6 months, in subjects with joint pain at the lower or upper limbs or at the lumbar spine.

Consumption of specific collagen peptides combined with calf-strengthening exercises enhances function and reduces pain in achilles tendinitis.
https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/30609761
Oral ingestion of collagen hydrolysate leads to elevated levels of collagen-derived peptides in the blood. The results suggest that functional peptides can be transferred to the skin by dietary supplements of collagen.
https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/28244315
A 2006 medical literature review revealed that collagen hydrolysate has been shown to be absorbed intestinally and to accumulate in cartilage. These findings suggest mechanisms that might help patients affected by joint disorders such as OsteoArthritis.

Bioactive collagen peptide consumption was found to be beneficial in prevention of UVB-induced wrinkle formation and transepidermal water loss. It improved epidermis thickness, and increased skin hydration.

A review in the Journal of Drugs in Dermatology suggested that of oral collagen supplementation is a promising ingredient for wound healing and skin ageing. Collagen supplementation is generally safe with no reported adverse events.
https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/30681787
In this study, human subjects showed improvements across parameters of skin hydration, wrinkling, and elasticity after evaluations at 6 weeks and 12 weeks. None of the subjects presented adverse symptoms. These results suggest that collagen can be used as a health functional food ingredient to improve human skin hydration, elasticity, and wrinkling.
